My wife and I will be in SF for a meeting starting the next day. It would be nice to have a tasting there. We could bring reds from Italy, Spain, Bordeaux, Southern Rhone, or California :-), depending on the theme. Any interest on that date??

EDJ,

It's a long way off to commit 100% (especially since I haven't checked with the spouse) but I'm game. Would this be a Fri or Sat night dinner? And where are you staying? Bordeaux or CA would fit right by me.

Put me down as a definite maybe. Like tangle says, a bit far off, but nothing on the calendar now that would prevent me from being there...

Tentative here - depends, it's a long way off at this point. I'd vote for an Italian theme though ;-)

It seems like EDJ may not be coming as he hasn't responded in almost a month.

Should we get together without him?

Lianessa and I will be there. Saturday will be good for us. We have plans for Friday. We just got married, so we have been busy in the last month. San Francisco is where we will be. Any venues friendly to wine collectors there. Leets confirm and make a reservation.

We have firmed up some of our plans. In actuality, we could meet on Friday April 3, 2009. Is that better for the working crowd?

EDJ - congrats on your marriage! Unfortunately I have to bow out for both nights.

However, for wine friendly restaurants, I would recommend Houston's down by the Embarcadero. It's a chain but waives corkage.

There are a lots of good restaurants with good wine lists. There are also several wine bars that are fun to pop into.

Sorry I can't make it!

I can make it on Thurs April 2. My wife may or may not be able to make the trip, but I have a nonstop in the afternoon. I would prefer something on the earlier side, since I will be traveling from the East Coast.
