Feb. 7 at Toronto, 7:30 p.m.

We'll probably come for a long weekend in your fine city. That will be 2 down 4 to go in wearing my Sharks Jersey in an Original 6 city Wink

Sounds great. The new house we just moved into has a hot tub, so maybe I should change my moniker to "tlily_of_the_north". Smile

tlily,

If memory serves me right, didnt we have a little friendly bet a year or so ago and if I recall the game was a tie so we agreed that I owe you a little Niagara ice wine and you were going to ante up something from the Santa Cruz Mountains???

the trash talking starting already??? And against my 100+ point, W.C. finals team? Big Grin

I've got it on my list Al, something special.

The hot tub does not travel, but there's a good chance the "2003 Hot Tub Cuvee" will be in bottle by then though Smile

Tlily - you are shortchangin yourself, both wine-wise and hockey-wise!

Why come all this way for only one game and one offline when you can have three and three?

Sharks play Thursday Feb. 3 in Montreal, Saturday Feb. 5 in Ottawa and Monday Feb 7 in Toronto, presenting a unique opportunity to see three games, and have three offlines, in as little as 5 nights.

Here's the plan:

Fly into Montreal on the 3rd, see the game. Rent a car on the 4th, drive the 90 minutes to Ottawa for an offline that night, see the game the next night. Drive your car the 4 and a half hours to Toronto Sunday Feb. 6, drop it off that night (no need for a car in Toronto), offline that night, see the game the next night, fly home the next day.

Easy to find a rental that allows one ways and drop-offs cheap if not free. Ditto the flights. Or you can take the train (also cheap and easy) between cities, even back to Montreal (five and a half hours by train or road from Toronto).

In lieu of my usual 4% travel agent fee, I'll take a bottle of something great, ideally zin.

You're welcome! Big Grin

Pistons rule!

It's very possible we'll do the Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto trip. I'll just have to see as we get closer. The train is much more likely from Montreal to Toronto than driving, but I'll find out as we bet closer.

tlily,

I'm sure you're much more up to speed than I am, so what's the current thinking on the status of the 04/05 season? Will there be one?

Really hard to say. The coverage is so different from what we're hearing down here and what's being said in Canada I just don't know. I'm pretty sure there will be some delay to the season, but I'm also pretty sure there will be a season.
