Looks like our buddy Ampuis is heading across the pond to England for a few years so it is only fitting that we send him back home in style. I know BRR and mneeley are also in, so that makes 4 of us. Let me know if any other Seattle-ites or eastsiders would be interested in attending. Nothing has been planned yet other than we will be opening some good stuff. Location still TBD.

When I moved from Chicago to London, I said it would be only for a year. That was back in 1996!

Ampuis - I'm currently working in London area for 6 months to a year. If you're in the area we should have a London offline.

Hey there T, hows things, what part of "The Smoke" are you in? West End and anywhere north is always easy for me (when I'm over of course), but no butterscotch bombs please Big Grin , mattach added that he'd fly stand by to catch a Pinotage tasting on the Thames!

I'd try to arrange a trip across the pond as well. Of course, it couldn't be before September (I think Ampius could figure out why).

we need a final tally of attendees. We are thinking of Daniel's Broiler on Lake Union. How does 6pm sound?

Tentative attendees:
mattach + 1
Ampuis
pape du neuf
BRR
mneeley
sibster Big Grin j/k

For theme, Ampuis and I are thinking of anything from France (white or red). Thoughts?

I just got my United E-Fares email and IAD to SEA wasn't on the list for next week. So unfortunately, I'll have to miss this send off.

It looks like you'll have to come up with a "send off" theme for every offline just to get BRR to show up - Razz.
