We're all set for the 9th. It'll be at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club at 5 p.m. Bring food to grill, there will be one setup for us, some food to share and of course wine. It's beach attire, but it can get cool at night so bring a sweatshirt or windbreaker.

I'll need the names of everyone attending so I can leave them at the front gate. Just email them to me at IggyTr@aol.com. We're also charged $10/adult, $7 for children under 12, and no charge for children under 5. So we'll collect that from you sometime before you leave.

Also, being a guest you essentially get a day pass, so you can show up as early as you want and enjoy the club (beach, pool, tennis, put-put) and then join everyone at the BBQ later on. Reservations are limited to 20.

Who do you have to probe around here to get a chardonnay?

Hope this ridiculously hot weather extends to sunday! (by the looks of it, it'll be a nice high 70's at the beach)
A Chargers win + a good OL = a nice end to the weekend!

Thanks, clayfu, but it's really not necessary. It was just an accident.

But let that be a lesson to you about trying to wash Riedel stems after drinking. Wink

The good news: we already have a sitter.
The bad news: we are already commited to a work function (no way I can be a no show).

Sounds like fun. I bet the wine you will be drinking will blow away anything served at the function I will be attending.

You know, the trend indicates that you're just going to have to quit your job so that you can attend these. Get your priorities straight, man! Big Grin

I emailed Sean, but just in case he does not get it, I cannot come tomorrow. Came down with something.

Bummer! Hopefully you came down with Chargers tickets rather than a bug. Smile

As of now it's just my parents, myself, Mr and Mrs SD Wineaux and Whine-oh.

Edited: just checked my email and we have another person so that's 7 total. Also, our table is the last one all the way on the right, when you're facing the beach.

This message has been edited. Last edited by: Sean Tremblay,

It was a GREAT evening at the beach! With the scenery, the wines were almost an afterthought. But it was an good line-up with no superstars (and no note takers, and no lists Frown). Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable get-together with friends.
