Thanks to Sean, we've secured Pere Jeanty for this dinner.

Starting time will be 6:00pm, seating is limited to 20 people in the private dining room.

The restaurant will provide Spiegelau stems for our use, you can also bring your own if you like.

As usual, we will split the bill equally among all attending. Let me know if you have any other questions. Smile

I'd rather not have a theme, would give us a chance for some variety.

We don't usually have a theme just so it's easier to pair with the menu, but a theme can always be fun.

Here is an idea that may be the best combining both sides. How about wines by women winemakers?

There will be plenty to chose from and not limited to one varietal.

You are forgetting Eric's "definite" maybe!

As the theme seems to be in "constant" evolution, may I suggest wines with worms in them? Razz
I bet You've all had Mexican Mezcal Cool
If that doesn't cut the grade, how 'bout that
"watchamacallit" Chinese wine with the snake in it!! Eek Eek

Salud!!

I was informed that we don't have to cut off the attendance at 20, but please still do RSVP ASAP if you would like to join us.

I will get more detail on food this afternoon, but it's likely going to be family style appetizers for everyone, choice of one entree out of three selections, and dessert.

Can't make the announcement on who the mystery guest is, as they tend to pull disappearing act at the last minute, like Pam Starr. Razz Wink

Huh. So that's the type of food Pere Jeanty serves.

Cool. Same style of menu I was cooking all year. Smile

So is the theme Women Winemakers? Or is it throw caution to the wind and bring what you like?

It's pruning and plowing time in the Mountains, all our weekends are pretty tied up in January, but if anyone wants real hands on experience I promise not to charge you $100,000, and I'll even supply the clippers.

It would be fun to have a wine theme, but doesn't seem like there is a strong opinion towards any of them, except NO stinky wines. Wink

Perhaps the best way to do this is posting what wines everyone is thinking of bringing, so maybe a few mini themes can come out of it.

Here are the wines I will likely bring as of this moment.

1993 Hartwell Sunshine Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
1999 Guilliams Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
2000 Mi Sueno Cabernet Sauvignon
