May 23rd & 24th, “Universidad Católica de Chile” will celebrate the first end of the harvest wine party in the Campus San Joaquín of this prestigious institution. This event will seek to become the major student celebration of the country, where the wine will have a special challenge to seduce the media, the wineries and the consumers with an innovating and colouring celebration, integrating the gastronomy thanks to special presentations and tastings of special products and live music.
Also, the visitors will have the opportunity to see a French barrel toasting process, plus several activities conducted by Edmundo Bordeau and Philippo Pszczólkowski, out-standing Professors of the Department of Enology of Catholic University, plus the “Centro de Aromas UC”, stated Pablo Espinoza, coordinator of the event.
Among the hosts, Alejandro Hernández, teacher of the University and the former director of the International Organization of the Grapevine and the Wine (OIV) and Pascual Ibáñez, Spanish Sommelier wil, have the challenge to teach wine tasting concepts to the visitors.
