I'm with you PURPLE. A nice vintage Bollinger RD would be preferable.

With Indy at our table, I suppose I should begin to consider something appropriate, to celebrate his returning in one piece. Looking forward to seeing you, and hearing your stories, I-B. Cool

I need to confirm seating at Campagnola when I call to discuss one of our number's dining requirements. Am I correct?

Table #1 - 6 diners
Table #2 - 7 diners
Table #3 - 7 diners
Table #4 - 8 diners

Someone let me know if I've missed anything. Even though this thread makes last year's look like a Readers Digest version, there's too much to sort through!

Chicagoans!! BRING DECANTERS!!!! You will not be able to bring enough, I'm thinking. Gentleman farmer, please bring your trusty wax pencil for labeling purposes. Grazie.

In looking at the last list posted, table #1 has 7 diners unless Steve 8 is coming alone and bringing two bottles. How generous if he is.

As far as I know your numbers are correct as long as nobody pulls a Spacewrangler. When you call about dining requirements can you see about a substitution for my wife's scallop allergy? It would be much appreciated.

I was counting bottles. I wasn't sure if Steve8 was coming by himself. Won't anyone go with him?

I listed the following for steve8:
2001 Pietradonice (steve8)
2000 Bruno Rocca Barbaresco Rabaja (steve8)

It was primarily meant as a `toungue in cheek` joke when Lentini dropped out. Steve8 was originally bringing the Pietradonice. But then there was discussion about just WHICH one the table wanted him to bring, as he has the other as well. I expected some response from steve8 about this but I believe he`s been `on the road` too much to do this. Be certain he`s bringing one of them. However I wouldn`t assume he`s bringing both. He`s capable, however I thought I`d better chime in here and clarify things. Smile

All that to say, your numbers for the tables are correct, PH. Steve is on his own. Wink

I will ask, VT2IT. Her issues are much simpler to address than our other diner's. If nothing else, we'll just have the scallops left off her plate and give her some extra oxtail. Probably best to reinforce this request at the table as well, but I'll float the idea when I call Campagnola later on. Thanks for the reminder!

Thank you PH. As I said before I'll eat them, but it would make it look like I pay attention to her more than I do if they didn't show up. In other words you do the work and I get the credit. Wink

Who is in Chicago on Thursday?

I'm arriving Thursday around lunch. Skoshy is going to catch up with an old friend, and I know wiml, futronic and others are heading out for a food-tasting dinner and Een has classes... Anyone else in town on Thursday?

Lonely W+A! Big Grin

Ha! Nice Italian reds are just the ticket, so no worries, but thanks K!

And, I can cart up two decanters easily enough, so that will help.
