Don't mind K, he gets a bit anxious, Razz. I believe he's about to put up a thread for a lunar offline, 2018. Wink

K,

Rest well knowing there will be Masseto and Redigaffi at table 4.

That said, we are keeping our powder dry and still putting our game plan together. Wink

You are also correct, it is indeed all fun!

I had the 2004 Masseto last weekend. Obviously as tight as it can get on the palate right now but man that nose! That wine will be worth every freaking dime in 10 plus years.

Scott,

I think you're first up on the waiting list.

PH can verify.

Verified. The list was empty until now. I'll make a note the next time I post the roster.

This is still subject to confirmation by each attendee but so far here's what Table 1 looks like:

futronic - 1990 Fuligni Brunello
Longboarder - 1988 Col D'Orcia Brunello
Lentini -2000 Bruno Rocca Barbaresco Rabaja
PURPLE - 1998 Gaja Sperss
wineismylife - 1994 Antinori Solaia
steve8 - 2001 Pietradonice

We're still mulling over some Champagne and Sweet wine selections as well.

French16 here's what we have so far:

VT2IT
1999 Frescobaldi Castelgiocondo Ripe al Convento Riserva
1999 Quintarelli Valpolicella

SW:
1997 Frescobaldi Castelgiocondo Ripe al Convento Riserva

After that, I m likely to show no restraint. I'm pretty sure we'll have 5-6 bottles with us Smile We own exactly one bottle of wine from Piedmont though, so I'd say bring along some Barolo or Barbaresco!

Your Dal Forno would make a nice comparison to the Quintarelli. Other then that, I agree with Paul, we could use a nebbiolo. The Pio Cesare or La Spinetta would be great. I will also be bringing an interesting white and something for dessert, and probably a Barolo to.

What? You want a venue and time before we plan down to the gnats a$$ which wines we're going to serve in a coordination with each other with military like precision? Big Grin
