I just received an email confirming that wineismylife will be visiting Toronto and is available for an offline on Feb. 20th.

Are any Toronto/GTA folk interested in joining the offline festivities? I'll be hosting dinner at my place unless the number is greater than 6. Please RSVP ASAP with any food concerns so we can get the ball rolling.

Unfortunately, the 20th won't work for me. Frown

Mrs. Slan and the two Slan kids will be coming back from a week in Florida without me, so I need to be around.

As an alternative, I'd be happy to get together with a group for a quick drink after work on the 19th.

I'm available Slan. I'll be in town on business alone so if you'd like to get together and do something (i.e. drinks, dinner, both, etc...) I'll be available that evening and would love to get together. Smile

Geez WIML, sounds like you could round up more of us in Ottawa (a mere 5 hours away by snow-covered four-lane highway - or a 50 minute flight) than are available in Toronto.

Any chance your business might take you here?

snow sucks, cold is worse.......

Anyone else game for a drink on the 19th? Say, 5:30 or 6:00 somewhere downtown?

I've got an exam on the 19th, but it will be done around 5:30 or 6, so I'm game. Just pick a place to meet up for drinks. Tasting Rooms or something along those lines?

Tasting Rooms would be just fine with me. Jump is another possibility. Both are in the downtown financial district, Joe. Which part of town do you expect to be in?

Caren's is another option and will be closer to the hotels I've recommended in Yorkville. Also closer to home for you, Slan! Smile

It's on Cumberland, right near the Four Seasons.

Anywhere in the Yorkville area should work fine for me as well. As I said above, it all depends on which part of town Joe will be visiting.

Based on Jay's recommendations I'll probably stay somewhere in the Yorkville area. I'll run that past my client and see if that works for them as well since they'll probably be picking me up and dropping me off at the hotel.

That should work great with a Yorkville hotel.
