I'm working on a caterer and pricing for the Soiree on Saturday July 2nd.. I will let everyone know now much to send as a deposit after I get through the Holiday Barrel Tasting Weekend.
If any of you are over for that weekend make sure you stop by 290 A. St at the Walla Walla International Airport, next to Dunham Cellars and see me at SYZYGY winery. We are tasting our Syrah that will release in May. Smile Smile Cool Big Grin

Unfortunately my wife and I can't make it. She is an official scorer for the Western Open which is always over the July 4th weekend. She enjoys doing it so much I know I could never talk her into giving it up.

Have fun (and I know you will).

Mrs. Vino the Official scorer for the Western Open?
Good excuse Vino. Wink

My guess is she has never recovered from the trauma of Seaquam's infamous 'Talking Dog' joke!

I have a free RT ticket I have to use next year. Maybe I will use it to come to this event. I have never been to the PNW before.

So I think we're talking a bit of a BBQ thang on Friday night.
Saturdays open to visit the wineries of choice and there are many of them now. Spring Valley is opening a tasting room downtown- No more driving into the middle of nowhere! It looks great too! It's accross the street from Morrison Lane's new tasting room, Cayuses new digs and also next to Bodega Turner and the space where Mike Davis is opening 26 brix- the new resaurant everyone is craving! Lots to see downtown now!
Sunday's recovery can include golf, a lounge by the pool, or a drive into the Blues to Lake Jubilee for a hike and swim- that's my plan.
Then there's firworks! Oh my!
