Anyone up for a pinot dinner in Jersey on June 21st? A few ideas as to where:

Oliver - A Bistro in Bordentown http://www.oliverabistro.com/
Blue Bottle Cafe in Hopewell http://www.thebluebottlecafe.com/
Manon - Lambertville
Drew's Bayshore Bistro - Keyport http://www.bayshorebistro.com/
Brothers Moon - Hopewell http://www.brothersmoon.com/
Blackbird - Collingswood http://www.blackbirdnj.com/
Acacia - Lawrenceville http://www.acaciacuisine.com/
Vidalia - Lawrenceville
Under the Moon - Bordentown
Fiddlehead's - Jamesburg http://jamesburg.net/fiddleheads/
Hannah & Mason's - Cranbury http://www.hannahandmasonsnj.com/

Open to other suggestions.

For wines, I'm thinking either a Kistler, Kosta Browne, Sea Smoke, Beaux Freres, Auteur....who knows. The options are endless for everyone!

Capping at 10 depending on where we decide. Some restaurants more suitable for 8.

Any thoughts? Hope this one pans out this time.

Acacia's menu looks outstanding, have you been there?

I'd like to make the trip up if there is room...I won't know if I'm free until next week/end though.

If you are open to a newcomer, I would like to join in the Pinot festivities. Coming from Staten Isl. any of the choices is not a problem.

BTW - I was thinking of some Ken Wright or Roads End, Soter or some Ata Rangi for the NZ touch. Big Grin

The "great great wine list" doesn't have prices online....I'm guessing the prices aren't too "great great?" The list isn't that extensive and seems to be quite predictable as well...

I'm sure the chef is nice and the food is great though!

Sarbuze: Acacia is indeed great, and have nevr had a bad meal there.

Noiregonian: you're more than welcome to join us, and I won't tell you what to bring...we do love Ken Wright's thought! Big Grin

Toghog: thanks, but no thanks. The wine list there is a bit on the boring side, and the idea of an offline is to bring something we want to bring to a BYO with no corkage fees. Atlanic Bar and Grill doesn't fir the bill for that.

Lets do this folks! Hope we generate some interest!

Right now it's my wife and I. LOL! There is interest from one other on another board named vdv115 if we do it in Bordentown. Other than that, no interest. Seems like Jersey offlines are tough....no luck on the Bordeaux offline, and no takers on pinot so far...maybe there's a bunch of white zin drinkers around here that don't like my offline ideas. LOL! -mJ
