These things are a little more difficult to put together in the spring and summer with vacations and such, so I'm starting this thread a little early. Who wants to do something in May? I know that the last weekend of the month is good for both NewMel and Jules, at least so far. That Sunday would actually be May 32nd.

That weekend may be good for me... I prefer Saturdays in general. Is someone still interested in Sundays? I thought Newsguy (RIP in LA) was the source of Sunday planning.

Come raid the cellar??? Wink

Either Saturday or Sundays work for me. Saturdays, I'm likely to be a bit late but am pretty easy.

A Cellar Raid might be in order. I think Jace also proposed a deck/BBQ at his place. That also sounds good, except for the Zinfandel theme. Wink

You guys can have every bottle of Zin in my cellar for free. Oh yeah.....I don't have any! Big Grin

We're uncertain of our schedule for May but as usual, we'll try our best to make it! Kim turns 30 on May 10, so count us out for that night- on that note, I'm thinking Citronelle for dinner...any other recommendations, perhaps one with corkage?

Good news is we're renovating our kitchen, yard and bar area - so hopefully we can host an outdoor BBQ/tasting sometime later this year (June-August may be too warm, perhaps September!).

Citronelle rocks. Le Paradou is nice, and I think they're more corkage friendly. We offlined at Equinox last year and had a delightful meal.

Happy Birthday to Kim! Cool

Kim, Happy birthday. It is the day after mine, (and 25 years later) You should think about Palena too.

When in doubt, open another bottle.

Ditto the recco for Palena. Great kitchen.

We might actually get a LouBriccant! sighting this month. Shall we drink some wine?

WE have to do an offline this month! Thanks DW and PH for the kind wishes for Kim...I've got some nice wines lined up (1978 Gaja Barbaresco, 1978 Latour, etc) and am deciding on our venue!

That said, an offline for May would be great! Let's consider the weekend of May 23/24 and go with a theme of Northern Rhone (I've been drinking these up like a madman!).

Other themes and venues are obviously welcome!

Sorry Zin/Deck off, as edited Apr 18 in April thread.

NRhone sounds great.

Happy B'Day Kim, we're doing Liz's @ Central Michel Richard, will let you know how 'tis.

I'd suggest Palena then, Citronelle does not permit corkage.

When in doubt, open another bottle.

My CTO Millie (Chief Tractor Office) is in the DC Area 14th-19th. Every day bit the 18th is good for her to get together. Any chance on getting the DC crew to share some wine with her and MS Kathy while they are in town?

Paul,

Although "CTO" has me perplexed, I thing I can swing some dinner and wine with your posse! I'm sure we can scare up a couple of others as well to join us. Holla Back!

I'm going to be in St. John those dates, so I won't be able to join, to my chagrin.

Now that I've finished painting my dining room... Well, not the ceiling, and I don't have a chandalier wired yet, but you and the crew are expected to come cellar-raid soon... Or be subjected to Festiva's idea of me (the host) coming up with a theme from my cellar. I was thinking the 31st, but if you do a Stefania-compatible date, let's go with June.

I've been the guest at nearly everyone's home... I'm definitely due up to host.

I think I misspelled a bunch of words, but I'm not going correcting... Busy drinking a Monti Montepulciano.

Uhhhhh..... So what's up, gang? I'm way pre-occupied this month, so can't do to much organizing. Are we going to miss 2 months in a row? Frown

PH: I'm down with a May event (as always). If it's a small group, perhaps we hit up a nice restaurant with corkage?

Hope everyone in the MD Cru is doing great and drinking some good wines!

Ok, then it'll be at least 2 or 3 of us! Lentini, are you still up for something? Anyone else?

Yes, I'm in. May 31st is best for me. I think Sarbuze mentioned the weekend before. I may be able to do that, too. It's a couple of days after my anniversary, so I've gotta get wife buy-in for that date.

Congrat's on the anniversary! We're celebrating Kim's 30th this weekend.

Anyways, the 31st works for me. So let's shoot for that.

I completely agree. Or Komi.

Can't make any offlines (most likely) in May or June due to busy weekend schedules.....
