I have roped in LM from the other site who will bring a 1999 Château La Mission Haut-Brion for a side by side against my 1999 Château Haut-Brion, and with the 1999 Leoville Barton on deck as well it begs for a blind event.

Now what Fat Bastard said he was bringing a fat Bastard? Big Grin

We are at 7 right now...reservations are for a total of 8 so we have one more spot available...rather not have it too large a party.

I'm pretty light on Frenchies, so I'll have to scratch around and see. I'm afraid I won't have anything as great as what I've seen posted so far, but I'll do my best!

Cheers!

Do you take the Discover card?

I'm in the same boat as BRR. I have an '00 Leoville-Barton I've been saving. Heck, since '00 is no longer the "Vintage Of The Century" it's lost its cache value, anyway...

I'm working in New Malden but have no desire to stay there. I'm currently at Hilton Olympia but looking for an apartment near Waterloo station. BTW, there's a great wine shop in the next block from the Hilton, www.robersonwinemerchant.co.uk.

I was going to a tasting tonight in Snohomish, but it got canceled due to snow. Cripes, I've got 3" on the ground here, and it's still coming down heavy. WTF?
Hope we have better luck Tuesday! Mad

Do you think if we brought an Haut-Brion Blanc 'ole Curtis would add that to the 2 reds to make a rosé for us?

Better keep the '99 & '00 L-B's far apart as well.

If I missed it somewhere in this discussion, please forgive me. What time is the reservation?

I'm bringing a 2000 Ch. Gloria St. Julien if that's okay.

Cheers!
