Otis & Mrs Otis,

Great gig. Awesome music. Thanks for inviting us. We truly enjoyed the event and meeting all the people from the Forum. We met a lot of people named Deb-Anne tho...

One of my favorite things was the tasting book. I enjoyed watching everyone taking notes. It made it easier to tell the geeks from the neighbors!

I tasted nearly 70 wonderful wines, and nothing sucked! You’ve built a great cellar. There were lots of great values too, some that people passed by - the 99 Domain du Grapillon d'Or Gigondas @ $22 was great, the 99 Guado al Tasso @ $11 was even better (ya, I know it was a typo!), the 97 Dry Creek Reserve Cab was beautiful for $33, but the 98 Columbia Crest Grand Estates Cab Sauv @ $11 was the steal of the evening.

Hope to see you more this summer, possibly at another famous Blue Oval back yard bash!

Bonkers: Glad you had fun. Another Iron Tongue award goes to you for tasting 70+ wines. Yowza!

Thanks for the compliments on the tasting book. My neighbors (like Murph) usually make a point of writing outlandish and nonsensical descriptors in it. Finding these gems strewn about the house the next day is one of my favorite parts of the party.

See you 'round the wine scene!

Cheers,

Otis

It's been two weeks and no one's contacted me about it. My wife is obsessed with finding the owner. It's like a game of Clue for her.

tsunami

The tasting notes for the ports that Frankie brought to the party are listed here.

Cheers,

Otis

I thought I might have left my wife at your house, but I just checked and she's here.

Yes, but I came here for an argument.

Oh! Oh! I'm sorry, this is abuse.

Frankie: I'm sorry I missed it too! Frown Mad

And as one of the very few here to have had the true pleaure of sharing a bottle (or three!) of port with Tsunami, and while eating a meal specially prepared by him no less, I can say that it is an experience for which it is well worth flying to Zurich! Eek Cool Big Grin

I'm just hoping he will come here one day so I can try to be as hospitable to him (and his gang!)

My wife and I are definitely going to find the time to get to Chicago by the summer at the latest, and I will continue to check offlines here to see if any match our availability (and cash flow!).

snow sucks.......

If it's the floor length Red Fox, it's mine.

Please return, no questions asked.

Or answered.

Cool

Otis- Is your yard sale anything like Pyang's? I'm hoping to pick up some 2001 Neal at a good price on resale! Let me know the date and I'll come by in my station wagon.

No Neal, but I'll give you first crack at my Montreal Canadiens hockey cards. Half off on Jacques Laperriere, Yvon Cournouyer, and Bunny Larouque. Razz

Cheers,

Otis
