Doesn't look like I'll be able to make this ... argh, your menu looks absolutely stunning, benchland! I was not only looking forward to cracking open some amazing bottles with y'all over that tasty menu, but also hoping we could swap some '01 Suduiraut for '01 Rieussec ... (although I think the former won the top spot on my albeit blown-out palete at the Sauterne dinner a few weeks ago ...)
Any-who, thanks for organizing this, pyang/benchland!
Thanks, Peter

All of my Italians are in storage (well, sort of) and I haven't been able to get to them, so new plan:
Bringing 2001 Bressler and a 2002 ** JJ Christoffel Erdener Trepchen Auslese (I think that is how it is spelled)...I think that is what I'm bringing, at any rate (pretty certain about the Bressler)

P~ do I have a mobile number for you, in case I get hung up with this group at the winery? I don't know how big it is, but I'm guessing it will push me to be late.
thx, M.

It was great seeing/meeting everyone. Thank you again to the Benchlands for hosting this, and showing me some of California's Finest hospitality. I managed to get out before I compromised myself ( ) too badly.
Shout outs go to the Benchlands, DJ, Tastebuddy, Abu, Bob, Grapey, the Whiners, Soc-Dehl, Adam, and especially to Pyang for taking me around and organizing this great event. I hope I can return the favor to all of you soon in Chicago.
Finally, Bench, let D know that maybe we can work it out next time , but somehow I doubt it.

Add my voice to the chorus. . .this was one of the best off-lines we have ever attended. You couldn't have asked for better weather, a wonderful assortment of wines, and of course a meal prepared by Jen that was just fantastic. Bench, you, Jen, and your roommates are great hosts. Thanks again for adding my friends the Trimble's on such short notice.
Did anyone keep any comprehensive notes on the 95 blind tasting line up? I only tasted #2-#4, having been seduced earlier by the Rochioli Chard, Ojai Syrah, X Winery Merlot, Fountainhead Cab, Seaquum Cab, and a couple of others.
A memorable evening.
