10 reds for Denis and myself. What is everyone else going to drink? Razz

Anyone know what they are bringing? I have a 750 of Bastor Lamontagne Sauternes that I would like to bring among another red or two.

I don't want to be sitting too close to Baird, he has a tendency to break wine glases. Razz Big Grin

If he's drinking older Bordeaux, then I want to be close, so I can drink his wine while he's up and about. Big Grin Wink

Avv28,

Don't worry, we'll have the Riedel, Baird is getting plastic Tupperware glasses. And if he breaks that Eek, he's getting the dog's water dish. Big Grin

Mind you, the dog won't be too happy.

Duojet,
we usually order off the menu.
They have quite an ecclectic menu.
Appetizers include salads, baked goat cheese, calamari, etc..
Mains are varied. Almost always pasta, seafood, steak, porcetta, and occassionally venison.
I'm sure you can find something to match any white you might consider bringing.

Carriedca,

Notice how "broken glass" and "Denis' ass" rhyme? Hmmmmm....

P.S. The Yellow Tail Merlot I am bringing would likely taste better out of the dog glass. Razz Big Grin

Splat has been booked for September 23rd at 7:00pm. Though I have not spoken to Todd, I'm happy to call and arrange any special appetizers, entrees, or desserts. PLMK by early next week so they have a chance to special purchase.
Anybody want to list or mention the wine(s) they're planning to open?

I'll figure it out this weekend. Maybe a 2000 Righetti Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Capitel de'Roari and something else.

Well so far, I plan on opening:

2000 Tardieu et Laurent Condrieu (it might not have emerged from its dumb phase, we'll see)
1999 Tardieu et Laurent St-Joseph (I have the Cornas and Cote Rotie but they are probably too young)

Both are single vineyard but I can't remember what they are.

aav - It's a Barbaresco. I didn't say anything about buying single-vineyard wines that don't end in vowels. Razz

Intersted in a flight of aglianicos? I've got a bottle left of Tormaresca's Bocca di Lupo 2000.

Sorry to announce that I wont be able to make this one. Turns out the horse is jumping Thursday and Friday this week (last show of the season) and Mrs_oakville is right on the bubble as far as qualifying for the Royal so the trusted groom will be there cheering her on Smile

Mr. and Mrs carriedca, enjoy Toronto and we will catch you next time.

WGIT,
Great to have you back! I've included you (and your significant other) to the list. I haven't forgotten that I still owe you for the goodies you brought to our 1st anniversary offline. That night still shines bright in my fondest memories of offlines. It's going to be great seeing everyone from the past as well as our newest members. Obviously, carried and Mrs. know how to draw a crowd. I'm getting excited to see everyone again, even though we'll be without a couple key members.

Since the total number of people expressing an interest has grown, I'll be bringing a double magnum of '98 Boisrenard. From what I've been reading, it's drinking great right now. Cool
