Also, the Parker board has dinners in NYC all the time and they have a very heavy list of BYO places in NYC and a short summary with cork fees etc. It's really solid. You guys should take a look and see if some places sound good to us.

I don't care either way. However, if the guy was willing to bend the rules, I would think that means he wants our business. If you guys want to bring more bottles, we could always risk it. I'm fine with limiting it to one per person... but I'll be driving home that night!!! Big Grin

BTW, it's a Thursday night... not Wednesday. Quick, change the sitter!!! Razz

Thank you MWagner7700, and yes you are correct I am one person for the dinner. I checked S & W's website but they do not list their wine list. I wanted to be sure others knew that as well. Thanks for adding my name in.

Hey mwagner7700, Just an FYI....There was a WLTV offline @ S&W a few months back....around 25-30 people as I recall. S&W decided to NOT put us in a separate room (although one was available). And as the wine started to flow...and things becaame a little more amplified...there was a little problem. The point is that, if you are not in a separate room, you may want to request one.

Having had another 2005 Amon Ra Godolphin a couple of weeks after our last offline (which got much more air), I picked up one for this.

Hunter (and anyone else from LI) if you want to travel in on LIRR or take car (have friend that owns car service, can get town car and drive for pretty cheap if need be) I am up for it. I can see myself at the end of the night with purple teeth and all taking a nap on the LIRR and winding up in port jeff or even worse grenport. LOL

How are we going to work this if S&W limits us to a bottle per person? We've offlined at the Bridge Cafe and I remember Board-O was able to talk them down to $10 corkage per bottle. I'd be more willing to pay that and be able to bring more in. However, we'd have to bring our own stems for that place. Thoughts?

I'll send the GM an email. But I won't mention any numbers.

I'll say "I'm checking to make sure we're still on." "Can I get a copy of your wine list to make sure we don't bring anything you have." "Do you have any other restrictions." Let's see what he says.

Most likely Bringing a Neal SVD. Not sure what year yet or I could bring a Kistler Chard instead, if we want a white as openers.

I'd say the kistler. We will want SOME white. Or, instead of the Godolphin, I could bring a 2004 Martinelli Martinelli Road Chardonnay.

I think that the kistler would be better though.

I've got one white I'm bringing along.

Wedging it between a Kistler and a Martinelli???? You guys are giving the DC guys a run for their money, they wedged my Syrah between a 97 Insignia and a 99 Monte Bello the first time I brought it. Nothing like going tough on the new guy Big Grin

From what I've heard, your wines can stand up to it!
