Hey, count me in! This is MBD. I have a new laptop, and this %#&*%**$ website keeps giving me hassles trying to access the forums. Since I haven't gotten very effective help from the WS Online, I figured, hell, it's time to change my screen name!
Hey Craig!I'm open to almost anything. I'm strongest in French wines--southern Rhone, red and white Burgundy, and a smattering of other French regions. Also increasing my Italians, including Barolos and Brunellos, and then of course, at least something in most other areas such as Ca. Cabs, Oregon Pinots, N.Z. SBs, and small bits of Germans and Spain. Where were you thinking? The Parker board folks have been active at various restaurants, and I've been to a couple that have turned out very well. Let us know when you have more details, and I can resend you my email address if you no longer have it.

I'd love to get together with some wine people to share some food and have a tasting. I went to france with my brother who luckily speaks french fluently. we did alsace and the rhone valley. In alsace we did clos st. landelin, albert mann, hugel, zind-humbrect, domaine weinbach. In rhone valley we hit vieux telegraphe, domaine du pegau, domaine de la janasse, domaine de la morderee, domaine brusset, and stopped at E. Guigal in ampuis before we flew out of paris. I have a 95 domaine du pegau that chateaunuef that should be good to go as well as alot of 97 california cabs. I'll e mail you.

My name is johnny rater. My e-mail is Jrater@mn.rr.com. My trip was great. My brother taught english at the university in avignon in the 80s, so he knew the town and was already into gigondas, lirac, tavel, chateaunuef, ect... Some of the grand cru alsace wineries and vineyards were only gotten into because importer kermit lynch got us in. My brother lives in st. louis, mo. All the rhone valley people were cool. They let us taste everything in their tasting rooms. They can have a little anti american attitude in avignon, but once you get to the wine country they love you if you know their wines. Most chateaunuefs are family run with only 2-8 employees at most.I'd love to show you some pictures. I'll hook you up with my brothers e-mail. He booked all the flights, hotels, and winery visits.
