Posted this over on another board and passing on. Maybe do this on a Friday or Saturday night. Any interest?

Is anyone up for a Super Tuscan offline in Princeton? Found a great BYO called La Mezzaluna, and after speaking with the owner, he could definitely accommodate us. I am thinking capping this at 8-12 people.

We had dinner there on Friday night and it was outstanding. The food was great, the service was outstanding, and the owner/chef is a great guy, and spent a lot of time at our table. They also have nice stems, or feel free to bring your own.

That said, perfect place for a Super Tuscan theme, so bring your big Italians! Sassicaia, Tignanello, Oreno, Antinori Solaia, Ornellaia, etc, you get the idea. And be sure to save room for the flambe with homemade gelato! To die for!

If anyone is interested, let me know and we'll work on a date. Cheers! -mJ

Possible for me if it is a Friday night (Thursday actually better but that was not an option). Highly dependent on the date.

Dates are totally open. No suggestions for a date at all on the other board, so feel free to throw some out there. May time frame would probably be best for us.

I suggested a Friday or Saturday night for the out of towners, but we would be able to do a Thursday.

As for Princeton, it's 45 minutes by NJ transit from NY Penn. Then another 10 minutes from Princeton Station to downtown Princeton. Could pick a few of you up at the train station if necessary as it's not out of the way.

Would love to see this happen! -mJ

Markjahnke - thanks for starting the thread. I'll throw out some dates out there just to get the dialogue going: May 1, 2 or May 15, 16.

I think Saturday makes the most sense, but I can also do Fridays. BTW, May 9th is the WS Event in Atlantic City (in case anyone is planning on going), and May 23rd is Memorial Day weekend.

The only weekend that wouldn't work for us would be the 15th and 16th. The other two are fine.

The 9th we'll be having our Cinco de Mayo extravaganza at our house... -mJ

I would also be interested in attending, if there is room and depending upon the date. May 1,2,8 or 9 look good for me.

Thanks Smile

LOL....2009! Unfortunately, my June is packed with some travel for work, so June is pretty much out... We could still try to shoot for a May date though. -mJ

Markjahnke - if you pick a May date that's good for you and your wife, I'm sure the rest of us will try to make it if we can.
