10th is good for me. Can't do weekdays because of the distance and work.

Assuming I qualify for #3 above, I am in.

Beringer white zin pairs well with lamb or meatloaf, I'll make sure to bring enough for everyone.

My husband Luke and I would be interested in joining you. It would be our first time too so if you are looking for more experienced guests, that is fine.

Thanks!

Apparently I'm supposed to be going too. Frown I'm trying to negotiate my way out of it. Will keep you posted.

I've finally managed to decide on one of my bottles, I'll be bringing a La Poderina Brunello di Montalcino which should go well with either of the entrees. Currently waiting to see whether JR will be switching the salad course given our current citrus crop issues to decide on my other wine.

Given my salad includes lime and avocado and that it will be post superbowl (read: guacamole!). I may change it up depending on availability.

If I change it, it won't be drastic, I'll stick with shrimp and probably add a mango puree. Either way it'll be light, and acidic be it citrus or vinegar.

It looks like I'm in the clear - pending any major setbacks I'll be there Smile

Are you setting a theme? I'll probably bring an older red and a sticky.

OK I think I'll bring a 1999 Woodward Canyon Artist Series cabernet, and maybe a late harvest Zinfandel or a Tokaji or Sauternes depending on what's for dessert.

I know you have an account on VinoCellar - if you don't want to post your address here just PM me there. You can also reach Stefania_Wine and yhn the same way (though he's yhnx over there).

Thanks Dave, I just sent PM's to the three of you, let me know if they don't come through.

I'm pretty sure I'll be cooking lamb for an entree, I did a stuffed meatloaf last weekend, it was good but I need to tinker with it some more.

Not sure if that changes anyone's wine choice, but I thought I'd offer up the info.

What's for dessert? I'm thinking of bringing a 1993 Disznoko Tokaj 5 puttonyos, but if you're doing the chocolate cake that's not going to pair very well.

I'm going with the chocolate cake. It's has almond and nutmeg in the flour and cornmeal based batter, and chocolate frosting. So while it's chocolate, it's not entirely chocolate.

I'll also have a cheese plate with sliced apple and pear plus a few other goodies.
