I'm planning to go to the South Beach Wine & Food Festival in March. I don't know the area too well. Does anyone know of a good and afordable hotel to stay in? Thanks!

Marlen,

You'll need to stay near South Beach and hopefully within walking distance as traffic and parking for this event is horrendous. I can't think of any South Beach hotels that might be reasonable, especially for this event, but try to get as close as you can. They have Collins Ave. closed for this event between 6th St. and 10th St. and if you go you need to get there early. Even better if you sign up for the VIP Tasting which cost more but will let you in early as the crowds get unbearable for the general admission Grand Tasting.

I went the first year but haven't gone since as it was just too much of a hassle, too crowded, and too hot (it's outdoors) with nowhere to sit. That's why I recommend the VIP tasting, it would definitely be worth the extra $$$
