Well - it was just Steve8, MLV and I. Always good to meet up with Steve. These were the wines:

2005 Michel Picard Pommard 1er Cru Le Clos Micot - very unmanipulated, pure fruit - nice. Should definitely improve.
2005 SADIE FAMILY Columella Swartland - mostly Syrah - fantastic wine - from South Africa. Wow.
2004 Kosta Browne Amber Ridge Syrah - not as good as the Sadie, but good and a replacement bottle for a corked bottle so happy to have one that was not tainted.

Great seeing you guys again and thanks for meeting up. Your comments on the wines are spot on as far as I'm concerned.

hArmadillo Beach

I'll be in the area for the tennis tournament on Key Biscayne and was wondering what 'corkage friendly' meant? TIA

Armadillo is $10 - no limit on number of bottles. Often we are only charged once or not at all. Stems are not great but ok

Thx. Any particularly good places to buy Cali cabs/syrah or CdP in the general area around Miami nowadays?

I would definitely shop at Sunset Corners in South Miami if I were you - not too far from where the Sony/Ericsson is -

Some people like Wolf's in Coral Gables, but I don't shop there.

Other option would be Wine Watch in Fort Lauderdale, but that is a trek.
