Sorry, my mistake. I thought that Otis was also in Glen Ellyn. That changes things a little!

Eno - looking forward to chatting with you and Mrs. Eno! It's been a while!

Just checking in to confirm Patty's and my attendance.

Looks like there will be a very strong Canadian contingent at this offline. Cool

Hey Eno...glad to see your going to make it.
This time I won't goof up getting the Cuban cigars across the border! Razz

Looking forward to seeing old friends, and meeting new ones.

Canadian weather?
Nine months of hockey and three months of bad ice.

that would be great. I think Otis is not going this year. I would need to send your full name and others going with you, with my name when they ask for the table names.
You can sent it to me

Thanks Otis Smile The Springhill Suites in Elmhurst seems the most likely place at this point, as it is near a Metra station, though not on the line to Northbrook. The Marriott properties around Northbrook/Deerfield or otherwise on the MDN line do not appear to offer suites. But we are still checking out our options. Perhaps we could take the Metra downtown and catch on with the gang leaving from there.

bman- we could definitely get you on the shuttle. It seems to me that there's a Courtyard in Highland Park, IL. That would be pretty close to Otis's. I don't know if it has what you need, but check it out.

Not looking good for next year either.

Otis,
I can vouch big time for Thomas (and Mrs.).
Just don't ask him to be one of your "pins" if you decide to be the human bowling ball again.

OK, Mrs. O says we can fit 2 more under the ropes, so you and your wife are welcome to join us, Thomas. I look forward to meeting you.

DoktaP: my human bowling days are over! Razz

With all the Canucks signed up for this event...may I suggest/request a little Canadiana...The Hockey Song by Stomp'n Tom Connors! Cool

Everybody had better have their jersey's tied down for this event...! Wink

Please ignore him, Otis. Roll Eyes

Being disconnected from the mainland gives the Islanders a limited view of what constitutes music. Wait 'til they find out that 8-tracks are no longer being manufactured, and that you can buy music on little silver discs now.

BTW, the Kingsmen's version of Louie, Louie is the only one that counts. If you can understand the lyrics, it just AIN'T Louie, Louie!

The Canadian portion of my music collection is limited to The Kings (e.g. "Switchin' To Glide"), The Monks (e.g. "Nice Legs Shame About the Face"), and Doug & The Slugs (e.g. "Too Bad"). I'd be happy to add any of those to the playlist if you'd like.

Sorry, no Gordon Lightfoot, but I do have "The Hockey Song" as performed by Warren Zevon. Are The Tubes Canadian? They sure seem like they could be. I could always include "White Punks On Dope". Razz

Cheers,

Otis
