steve,

You don't answer email very well! Of course there is room for you and J. I've updated the list above, including Baird and other people too.

My odds of attending have moved from 50/50 to 70/30. One more obstacle to overcome on Monday or Tuesday and I'll know for sure.

So, the location is a secret then and we just have to figure out where to show up? Hard to be on time if you keep the address a secret. Big Grin

Looking forward to it Jay.

Hah. I'll be emailing those details. There's a reason for not posting venue info.

I'm combing the sites for Hotels. Any suggestions?

There seems to be decent deals around. For example:
Hilton Toronto
Le Meridien King Edward
InterContinental Toronto Yorkville

Any recommendations from the locals regarding anything in particular? I know I stayed at the King Edward several years ago and it was very nice. Just looking for feedback if anyone has any.

All of those would be just fine. With respect to proximity to venue, the King Eddie is closest (you could walk), followed by the Hilton and Intercontinental Yorkville.

I am staying at the Park Hyatt myself. Looks like it is about 2 1/2 miles from the restaurant. Taxi time for me.

We only want you to find the venue if you bring wine. It's kind of like a "secret handshake"/skill testing question. Razz

I confirm that I'll be there. The lady was not thrilled, but I'll be there... hopefully the locks won't be changed when I come back!

Dear Organizers -

Any room to add a guest to attend with me? If yes, please do add another notch for me, if not, then absolutely nothing to worry about.

Kind regards,

The Economist.

Ok, I'm cutting this off except for those on the tentative list. We're already pretty massive in size. I've added everyone else that's chimed in above this post.

Good for you PH! I can't wait to hear the tales of Nebbiolo et. al.

I'm bound to MD, thus "out" for this event. Sorry to have to miss this one. I've heard nothing but the best things about the attendees and wines.

It's always memorable, comestpider. There's always next year. If I plan my flights right, I'll be seeing you guys on Sunday. Cool

Purple Haze: What a warrior. Two offlines in 24 hrs in 2 different countries. Got to be some kind of a record.

FWIW -- Priceline will get a decent rate on downtown Toronto hotels for all of you out of towners. The drawback is that you won't know what the hotel is until after you've made an offer and it's been accepted. biddingfortravel.com will give lots of details/tips.
