What: Aussie Shiraz/ Cabernet Event with $50 plus retail bottles of wine. We will do four flights of Shiraz and one flight of cabernets or Shiraz/ cabernet blends.

Where: Biaggi’s Eden Prairie Mall. PRIVATE WINE ROOM
Cost: BRING A BOTTLE OF $50 RETAIL SHIRAZ/ CAB
$20 (pre pay) which includes the 4 introduction wines, five prize wines, and secures your spot for the event.
Dinner will be about $40 per person which includes appetizers, salad, meal, desert, coffee. They have a $600 minimum.

Details of Event: This events goal is to display the great red wines of Australia. Each person attending will bring a bottle of wine. Don’t have any $50 plus Aussies but want to come email me. The following Aussie labels can be two people for one bottle because of their expense (Any Grange, Greenock Creek Roennfeldt, Three Rivers, Astralis, Hill of Grace, 2001 or 2002 Integrity, Duck Muck). NOTE ONLY 2 OF THESE FOR THE EVENT. FIRST TWO THAT RESPOND. The rest of us will bring a $50 plus Shiraz or cabernet or cab/shiraz for the event.
We will have 4 flights of Shiraz (TASTED BLIND) and one of cabernet/ cabernet blends (TASTED BLIND). ALL WINES SHOULD BE EMAILED ME SO WE DON’T DOUBLE UP ANYTHING. I will put together the wine list with all scores I can find from WS, Parker, etc. I will send everyone the list in an email before the tasting. It is always fun to compare how you rated the wines to the experts.
Scoring: We will be writing down tasting notes and scoring wines through a universal scoring sheet which I will provide for everyone. At the end of the tasting we will rank the top three wines per person and they will be assigned points. Three points for first, two for second and one for third. Next we will go through wine one and tallying points, one two, and so on to determine the three wines with the most points.
